A pressure group within the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, the Renaissance Group, says all is not well with the party in the state and as such time has come for a mechanism to be set up to ensure timely intervention in internal party crisis when they occurred.
The call was contained in a communiqué reached at the end of the Renaissance Group stakeholders’ meeting on Friday, held in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The communiqué, signed by Chief Ken Wobo, chairman, Sir Clement Menegbo, co chairman and Graham Waribo, secretary, held that the party in the state was in a comatose situation.
The Renaissance Group held that they were ready to step in and help to stabilize the party and set it on course as a veritable opposition for the 2023 general election.
They also called on APC’s national leadership to live up to their responsibility and rein in the aggrieved so as to build an integrated followership based on equality and one party ideology
