Rivers APC Chieftain Declares 2023 Polls ‘Likely Walk Over for Party’

Following the successes allegedly recorded in the ongoing membership re-validation exercise of the All Progressives Congress, APC, one of its chieftains in Ahoada West council area of Rivers State and entrepreneur, Mr Inime Karibo, says he was hopeful that the exercise would continue to attract more bigwig defectors to the party.

Karibo, the party chairman for ward two of Ahoada-West council area made the revelations at the weekend in Mbiama during an interview with newsmen.

He said that with the gale of defections of reputable and staunch political faithful from major political parties to the APC, there are indications the 2023 polls might just be a walk over for the party in almost all elective offices nationwide.

The party chair hinted that plans were at top gear for the party in his ward to organise a rally officially welcoming the said defectors to the party.

He stated that the party’s curtains are still “wide open to receive overt and covert defectors during and after the revalidation exercise,” cautioning against membership registration “with ulterior motives.”

“The ongoing membership revalidation exercise is going on smoothly in Ward two of AWELGA and we’re happy about it”, he said.

“We’ve had membership registration coming to the party from almost every other political party”, he added.

“With the gale of defectors coming overtly and covertly to register with us we strongly believe that 2023 will be a walk over for the party at all levels”, Karibo noted.
