As Integrated Catering Company Limited, owners of The Promise Fast Food, marks its 25th anniversary, the company has urged investors within and outside Nigeria to take advantage of the increasingly peaceful business environment in Rivers State.
The call was made during the company’s silver jubilee celebration held on December 6, 2025, in Port Harcourt, which attracted customers, staff, business partners and community stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of the company, Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi, said his organization has recorded outstanding business growth in the state over the past 25 years, while expressing confidence in the safety and investment potential of Rivers State.
“We started with passion and a small vision, but today Promise has become a household name. Our focus for the next 25 years is digital expansion, franchise development and investment in youth employment,” he said.
Dr. Alabi, who recounted his early years as an entrepreneur, attributed the success of the company to hard work, consistency and faith in God. He urged upcoming entrepreneurs to remain diligent and contribute to community and national development.
According to him, The Promise has grown into a fully integrated hospitality brand offering fast-food services, outdoor catering, bakery, confectionaries and event support, with branches across Rivers State and neighbouring states.
A representative of the host community, and Chairman of Rumuobiokani Community Development Committee, Rev. Ben Woko, commended the management for maintaining peaceful relations with the community and supporting youth employment.
He appealed for continuous corporate social responsibility in areas including youth empowerment, skill acquisition, educational support and community infrastructure.
Community stakeholders and invited guests also praised the company for providing jobs to thousands of young people over the years and supporting several social programmes such as education sponsorships, charity food donations and youth empowerment initiatives.
Highlights of the ceremony included awards for pioneer staff, unveiling of the anniversary logo, musical performances, dance and the announcement of future expansion plans.
