An Urhobo-born international marathon runner, Mr. Princeton Akpojaro, who is based in London, United Kingdom, has planned the second edition of the 10km road race for students of public secondary schools across Delta State to hold at Ughelli township stadium and at the Delta State capital, Asaba.
According to a post shared in his Instagram few weeks ago, the two events are scheduled to hold on February 9, 2020 for schools in both Ughelli North and South local government areas at Ughelli township stadium and February 16, 2020 for schools in the state capital, Asaba at Asaba township stadium. The two events will kick off by 8.00am prompt.
The convener of the events, Mr. Princeton Akpojaro, who had won different sports laurels in the United Kingdom appealed to all school principals and sports teachers to make their students available to participate in the race competition, while promising to reward the winners of the race competition with different monetary prizes as he did during the first edition of the race last year.
