Police Recover Mutilated Corpse Allegedly Used for Rituals

… CP Orders Detectives to Fish out Culprits

Operatives of Bayelsa State Police Command have recovered a mutilated female body at School to Land Project, Edepie, Yenagoa LGA, Bayelsa State. 

The unidentified female corpse was found on March 4, 2021 at about 0830 hours.

According to Police sources preliminary investigation revealed that “vital organs such as eyes, ears, nose and tongue were removed, allegedly for rituals purposes.” 

The corpse have been removed and deposited at the Federal Medical Centre’s mortuary for autopsy. 

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, Bayelsa State Command, who said the state commissioner of Police, CP Mike Okoli, has ordered detectives to fish out the culprits, added that investigation is ongoing.
