ONOLGA Chairman Pledges Partnership With Ex-Vice Chairman on Council’s Devt ‎

Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Council in Rivers State, Hon. Barr. James A. James, has pledged to work with the former vice chairman of the council, Dr Angela Anthony Oku-Kienmie on matters relating the development of the area.

‎James made the pledge when he received  Oju-Kienmie, at his residence in Port Harcourt on a courtesy visit.

‎During the engagement, both leaders reportedly held fruitful discussions on critical issues aimed at enhancing the development, welfare, and progress of the people of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area.

‎Tge council chairman expressed appreciation to the former vice chairman for her visit and her continued interest in the growth of the LGA. He assured her that the matters raised during the meeting would be given due attention and further pledged to sustain regular consultations with her for the collective good of the council.

‎Also, in a symbolic gesture of partnership in education and youth development, Dr. Oju-Kienmie presented  copies of her published works ,  “The Total Girl,” “Springs of Hope,” and “Marching Songs for Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools”,  all approved by the Rivers State Ministry of Education for use in schools across the State to the chairman.

‎The visit ended with a brief  prayer for the Chairman and his administration, underscoring a shared commitment to service, unity, and progress for the people area.
