Ughelli town in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State was recently in caught up in a birthday celebration as Prince Oghenerukevwe Okifo marked his day with nursing mothers at two hospitals in the town, the Central Hospital and Celian Clinic.

Okifo, who was filled with joy said, “I’m grateful to God for His abundant grace and mercy upon my life to see yet another new year in my life. I have today added another year to my years and I’m really grateful for this great miracle. It’s a moment I can’t celebrate alone. I need to celebrate it with my family members, friends and loved ones.

“This year, I’m moved to celebrate the joyous moment with nursing mothers in this hospital (Ughelli Central Hospital). I remembered I was like these little babies they are carrying before my mother nursed me to grow to this age in life. This is the reason I want to celebrate my birthday with these nursing mothers and their babies in this hospital. I’m very happy to share the moment with them.”

After spending time at the Ughelli Central Hospital, the celebrant and his guests again moved to Celian Clinic, a private hospital also in Ughelli for a continuation of the birthday celebration. At Celian Clinic, it was also songs of praise and pouring encomium on the celebrant by the nursing mothers in the clinic.

Addressing the nursing mothers and his guests, Prince Okifo said, “In whatever position and economic class we are in this life, we should show love to others especially those in pains and need. I was once an accident victim and rushed to this clinic. The medical director and owner of this clinic treated me free of charge without demanding anything from me or my parents. He did this as a result of love and kindness to the less privileged and those in pains without helpers. This is the reason why I decided to celebrate my birthday here with nursing mothers and patients in this clinic. We should emulate what is good in this our society.”

At the end, Miss Edevie, who spoke on behalf of Celian Clinic management and the nursing mothers, commended the celebrant for taking the right decision of celebrating his birthday with nursing mothers in their hospital. She prayed God to add more fruitful years to his years on earth and to also bless him abundantly for his generosity and kindness to help those in dire need.

The birthday celebration however ended with presentation of cash gifts and other valuable items to the nursing mothers by the celebrant and his guests.
