The Prince Oghenerukevwe Okifo Foundation (POOF), a humanitarian organization in Delta State, has extended its philanthropic support to Edjekota community, Ogor kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state as the community celebrated her annual prayer and praise day.
The event, which took place recently at Iyeye Primary School playing ground, brought together community and traditional leaders, Christian leaders, sons and daughters of Edjekota and large numbers of Christians from within and outside the community.
With the theme, ‘Deliverance From The Task Master,’ the programme was centered on “delivering the community from evil forces and curses, so as to enable indigenes of the community move forward in life,” and was attended by “great and anointed men of God.”
Our correspondent reports that POOF, through its secretary, Hon. Desmond Okpako, and director of photography, Mr. Edesiri Oscar, ensured the provision of bottled water and snacks as refreshment to the large gathering at the prayer ground.
In a chat with our correspondent, POOF’s Hon. Okpako said, “We are here on the order and permission of our founder and CEO, Prince Oghenerukevwe Okifo to present to you these bottled water and these snacks for your lunch.
“As a foundation, we are happy to support Edjekota community as they celebrate their annual prayer and praise day. For a community to come together like this to pray to God in love and unity, I strongly believe that God will definitely answer from above with lots of miracles. The land and its people must be speedily transformed and delivered from evil forces and all manners of curses placed on the land and its people. Today is a memorable day in this community. And I’m glad to announce to the people of Edjekota community, that as a formidable foundation, we are very ready to support you in our own little way,” he said.
The president-general of the community and the royal father of the Ogor Kingdom, HRM, Okiemute Onajite, Igere 1, the Ovie of Ogor Kingdom applauded the kind gesture and show of love displayed by POOF foundation.
The monarch, who was overwhelmed with joy over the “huge support” from the foundation, asked other foundations and Christian groups in the country to emulate the “shining example of POOF foundation.”
The monarch who was represented at the prayer programme by his council of chiefs participated in all the prayer sections and other spiritual activities. The guest speakers and other men of God in the programme also took time to pray for the foundation and all its members especially the founder, Prince Oghenerukevwe Okifo for abundant blessings and greater achievements.
