The chairman of Elano Group of Companies, Chief Gomba Okanje was Tuesday inaugurated 4th President of Eleme Chambers of Commerce, Mines, Industry and Agriculture (ELCIMA).
At a special ceremony in Port Harcourt where he and other new members of the executive committee of the chamber were inaugurated, Chief Okanje promised to bring in his experience and clout to grow the Eleme Chamber of Commerce beyond where it is today.
“I can assure you that I will do everything possible within my reach to improve upon what we have done already. We will grow from strength to strength. I will strive and struggle and ensure that I grow this chamber to a level that will be internationally recognized,” he said.
Chief Okanje also appealed to government to create an enabling environment for businesses to succeed. “This is because except the government provides that enabling environment, it will be practically impossible for us to succeed in whatever we do,” he said.
