Odi community in Bayelsa State was recently in a festive mood as the senior pastor and general overseer of the Redeemed Flocks International Gospel Centre (RFIGC), Apostle Michael Ephron, celebrated his birthday in grand style.

The event which took place at the church auditorium at the popular Odi community saw the Lord’s generals from different churches within and outside the community, and community leaders from different communities, including those from the celebrant’s hometown of Unenurhie community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, led by the community president-general, Mr Peter Maison, in attendance.

Pastor Gordon Alagha, who was the guest speaker, and also doubles as the CAN chairman as well as PFN president, Odi chapter, spoke extensively on the topic, ‘A Certain Man.’

He harped on what it means to have “a true friend in this present world.”

According to him, a true friend is a person you can lean on in the times of blessings and also during trials and challenges.

The respected man of God however described the celebrant as a true friend who is worthy to be celebrated at all times.

In the same vein, the president-general of the celebrant’s hometown, Mr. Peter Maison, who led other top community leaders to the event, poured encomiums on the celebrant and his lovely wife, describing him as a man of faith, humility, generosity and kindness.

“Our celebrant, Apostle Michael Ephron, is a true son of Unenurhie community. He’s a man of God the community so much respects for his contributions to peace and development of our community.

“His prayers and continuous visits to the community for revival programmes and crusades from time to time have contributed immensely to the peace and infrastructural development we are enjoying in the community today. Therefore, on behalf of the entire Unenurhie community, we celebrate with you, your lovely wife and the church of God under your care.”

In his vote of thanks and appreciations to guests in the event, the celebrant who was beaming with smiles all through the event and radiantly aglow with his lovely wife said, “I’m at the moment short of words to express my deep appreciation to my colleagues in the ministry of the Lord, my church members, family members and my great community leaders present at this occasion.

“In the same way, I still want to thank everyone that is here to share this moment of joy and celebration with me and my lovely wife. In fact, I give God the glory for all the praises, encomiums and different accolades poured on me today by the different dignitaries in this occasion for the little contributions I have made to the society. I pray that God will give us more strength and anointing to do more than this and God will equally bless all of you for this great honour done on me and my lovely wife.”

The event which was anchored and moderated by the Unenurhie branch pastor of the Redeemed Flocks International Gospel Centre, Pastor Daniel O. Londice, featured Bible recitations, jokes/comedies and song ministrations by the children and the church choir.

It ended with the cutting of the birthday cake by the celebrant and his wife, supported by other men of God and community leaders, after a powerful citation was given by Pastor John Kabiru, the chairman of ‘All Pastors Forum’ in Odi community in honour of the celebrant.
