The joy of Oganuzo Chidera knew no bounds as he was bestowed with an Award of Excellence by the Niger Delta Media Forum for the “outstanding leadership and business prowess he has exhibited over the years as a leading player in the maritime sector of the Nigerian economy.”
Chidera, who is the chairman and chief executive officer of Odest Global Resources Ltd, a leading shipping and clearing company in the country which has its head office in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital was honored, according to the organizers, in recognition of his outstanding commitments and contributions to the growth and development of the economy as well for the empowerment and employment opportunities he has offered to several youths and other vulnerable people in the Niger Delta and the country in general.
Odest Global Resources Ltd which has over five hundred staff in its employ “has proven to be the leading player in the maritime sector of the economy as a result of the commitment and ingenuity of the unassuming and hard working chairman who has nurtured the company from a humble beginning few years ago to a conglomerate,” the association said, and urged him to continue to be a role model to the younger generation in the society.
Responding, Chidera expressed appreciation to the Niger Delta Media Forum for the recognition, assuring that he will continue to contribute to the economy and well-being of the people in the society.
He however used the opportunity to call on the youths to imbibe hard work and honesty in whatever they do for success to be achieved.
