The director of Ashgrove Academy, University of Port Harcourt, Dr Okoyo Ntuen Nkoyo, has been honoured as the ‘Most Distinguished Administrator of the Year 2024/2025, by the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria (NDMPN).
Convener of the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria (NDMPN) Amb. Joseph Asomeji noted that the award followed the report of their assessment team which “carried out secret investigation on her as prerequisite for the honour.”
According Amb. Asomeji, Dr Nkoyo has exhibited excellence in the discharge of her duty, not only as the head of Ashgrove Academy, but also as the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee in charge of Services (DCMAC), as well as in her role as the head of Department of Chemical Pathology at UPTH.
While congratulating the awardee for standing tall in the discharge of her responsibilities which paved way for the recognition, he appealed for her support towards the association’s planned Corporate Social Responsibility Project (CSRP) scheduled for February 19 this year.
Responding, the Director of Ashgrove Academy University of Port Harcourt, Dr Okoyo Ntuen Nkoyo, thanked the media group for finding her worthy for the recognition as the most Distinguished Administrator of the year, an honour which she said is dear to her.
Dr. Nkoyo used the medium to appreciate all those working under her watch, adding that the honour wouldn’t have been possible without their collective efforts, just as she dedicated the award to the 9th Vice Chancellor of University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Owunari Georgewill, who gave her the privilege to bring her experience to bear, and promised to be part of the successful story of NDMPN.
In separate goodwill massages, the head of SERVICON, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Mr. Azibalua Efere, Mrs Owuso Victoria, Deputy Director, Chemical Pathology UPTH, Dr. Mrs. Eleala Joy Ijeoma, Assistant Director Ashgrove Academy expressed joy over the honour done their principal, adding that it was an honour well deserved considering working relationship with her subordinates and wished her more honours and recognitions.
Highlight of the brief award ceremony which took place at Ashgrove Academy, University of Port Harcourt, was the decoration and handing over of the plaque award to Dr. Nkoyo Ntuen MBBS FMCPath FCAI as the Most Distinguished Administrator of the year 2024/2025 by the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria NDMPN, Dr. Gilbert Amadi who was represented by his deputy, Mr. Ken Wedeh.
