NDMPN Honours U And C Microfinance Bank

U and C MICROFINANCE BANK LTD has been recognized as the Most Distinguished Corporate Organization of the Year 2025 by the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria (NDMPN) for its outstanding service delivery in finance and allied services.
The NDMPN acknowledged the bank’s prudent management of funds, breaching of employment gaps, and humanitarian services, hence the honour.
Coordinator of NDMPN, Amb. Joseph Asomeji in his speech said the award was a testament to the bank’s commitment to excellence, customer relations, and corporate social responsibility.
Asomeji explained that “NDMPN is a non-governmental organization known for distribution of exercise books to pupils, distribution of hospital consumables and hosting of sensitization and re-orientation programmes as a way of  encouraging the younger generation in the  Niger Delta region.”
He appealed for the sponsorship of the next phase of its corporate social responsibility project which is proposed to  distribute exercise books at Community Primary School, Elimgbu  in Obio-Akpor Local government area of a Rivers State scheduled for Monday 17th November 2025.
Presenting the Award, Chairman, Board of Trustee, BOT of the NDMPN, Dr. Gilbert Amadi explained that award are presented on merits and congratulated the MD and his team for their effort to sustain the dreams of the founding fathers of the institution.
Responding, Dr. Paul Nnaji, Managing Director and CEO, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that it serves as a source of encouragement for the bank’s continued efforts in delivering top-notch services.
“It took us by surprise because we didn’t lobby for it, you did your underground work and that makes the award, most cherished, acceptable and most source of encouragement, awards of this nature don’t come cheap especially coming from the media which is generally accepted as the conscience of the society, the public relied on the media for enlightenment, education and information”.
Nnaji commended the group for their humanitarian services, and promised to study the request of sponsorship of distribution of learning aids to pupils as part of its last quarter for 2025 projects.
The brief award ceremony which was held at the bank’s board room, had top management staff in attendance and was highlighted by the presentation of the award plaque.
