National Network Newspapers, one of the leading media Houses in the South/South Region of Nigeria has cornered two additional degrees from the University of Port Harcourt as it celebrates 50 year anniversary and 35th convocation over the weekend.
General Manager/Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper, Chris Konkwo bagged a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) while Miss Grace Chizuruoke Kalu, daughter of the Political Editor, Joe Kalu, bagged a first degree (BA Hons) from the same school.
With the development, the Media House now parades two professors and two Ph.D holders, in addition to a minimum of first degrees from all the staff and still counting.
It would be recalled that the University of Port Harcourt over the weekend graduated 9,788 students in first degrees certificates, 2008 for PGD and 934 for PhD degrees including honourary degrees (D.Sc) in Political Science to deserving prominent citizens which included the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and Sen Remi Tinubu, wife of president Bola Tinubu for their contributions to the society.
