… Says PH Ring Road will open up community for more developments

The people of Mgbuodohia Community in Rumuolumeni kingdom, Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State has expressed their appreciation to Governor Siminalayi Fubara over the roads construction in the area.
Head, Mgbuodohia Council of Chiefs, Eze Rising Amadi Ekwenna XI, who spoke during the commissioning of the 5.2km Mgbuodohia Internal Roads in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area on Monday, commended Governor Fubara and the Rivers State Government for keeping to their promise in the road construction.
Eze Ekwenna, who spoke through his son, Prince Chima Amadi Ekwenna, a former CDC Chairman of the community, said the project will open up Mgbuodohia for more development and also improved socio economic activities in the area.
“We, I mean, the entire Mgbuodohia people are very happy for this project and we appreciate the governor for fulfilling his promise today. This road was so dilapidated, it was impassible, so many of us were on air appealing to the government to come to our aid and we thank them, especially the former governor and our leader, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike.
“This road is so important to us as a community. You can see the environment already, this road will open up Mgbuodohia for more development and also improve socio economic activities in this area.
“Speaking on the Port Harcourt Ring Road embarked upon by the Rivers State Government, Ekwenna said Mgbuodohia Community will also be a major beneficiary of the project.
He noted that the PH Ring Road project will connect the community to the state capital with the planned construction of a bridge across the Mgbuodohia River, linking Eagle Island and Mgbuoshimini areas in Port Harcourt City and Obio/Akpor local government areas.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara, while the commissioning the Mgbuodohia internal roads said the project is unique to his administration.
The Mgbuodohia internal roads project was flagged off early this year by former Governor, now Minister of FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike, and completed by the present administration in Fubara.
The Governor said he feels excited coming back eight months after, to commission the project which according to him was one of their campaign promises to the people.
He reiterated that his administration’s mantra was to consolidate and complete every good ideas and project of his predecessor, adding that it will put smiles on faces and the life of the people easier too.
“We are here today to bring alive the fulfilment of the promise that was made by the immediate past administration. As a government, our mantra is Consolidation and Continuity. We will continue to consolidate on every good project and noble idea initiated by our predecessors,” the Governor said.
In his project description, the Commissioner for Works, Dr. George-Kelly Alabo, maintained that Mgbuodohia internal roads link Olumeni-Epirikom Road and Nkpor Road.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of Lubrik Construction Company, Hadi Chehade asserted that the construction firm completed the project according to the standard and specification. He thanked the people of Mgbuodohia in Rumuolumeni for their cooperation.
