Kennedy Weneh hands the Niger Delta Media Award to Mayor of Housing, My-ACE China

Mayor of Housing Bags Distinguished Company Director on Real Estate 

Mr. My-Ace China, the chief executive officer Mayor of Housing, a real estate and construction company with corporate office in Port Harcourt, has been honoured with an excellent Gold Achievers’ Award as Distinguished Company Director of the Year 2024 on Real Estate and Development by the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria (NDMPN).

Presenting the award plaque to him, deputy chairman, Board Trustee (BOT) of Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria (NDMPN), Mr. Kennedy Wedeh, explained that the honour was well deserved following the report from the association’s assessment team.

He advised the awardee to maintain the speed lane considering his giant achievements which are not limited to real estate and construction, adding that his enthusiasm towards the development of new cities across borderlands is second to known and excites the younger generation.

Earlier in his speech, the Rivers State coordinator of Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria, Amb. Joe C Asomeji, explained that one of the aims of the association is to encourage public office holders and philanthropist with track record of achievements, adding that their awardee was found qualified through the association’s assessment team.

He further used the medium to urge other corporate organizations to emulate the philanthropic gesture of their awardee on youth engagement for a crime-free society to be achieved.

Asomeji recalled the achievements of the media group since its inception however, and invited their awardee to bank-roll their planned one-day capacity building and reorientation of the youths in the Niger Delta States on the theme, ‘Harnessing the Youthful Youths of our Time,’ to be held in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital.

Responding to the honour done him, Mr. My-ACE China, the Mayor of Housing, a real estate and construction company thanked the media organization for finding him worthy of the recognition in his “little contributions for the betterment of the society.”

He maintained that as an advocate of regional development, he believes in the manifestation of thought, adding that “the most powerful force on earth that is sustained is thought,” and that any good thought ever had should not be discarded.

The mayor posited that his company is sticking to growing the capacity to help, believing that the future of citizens doesn’t depend on the government but courageous private organizations and individuals that can scale their services beyond regional service delivery, as he described the honour as an appreciation of what he has done and an encouragement to do more.

He promised to partner with NDMPN to reach out to the region just as he said that his company’s corporate social responsibility is second to none.

Mr My-ACE China maintained that his dream is to build a legacy project in Port Harcourt and other cities across the nation, but regretted that his limitation is the delay in accessing Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) to begin his legacy projects.

The mayor of Housing commended the steps taken by the Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on the building of twenty thousand low-cost housing for civil servants, which he said is a step in a right direction.
