LGA Chairman Urges Newly Inaugurated CDC, Residents To Prioritize Peace, Security, Devt

The Chairman of Eastern Obolo Local Government Area LGA of Akwa Ibom State, Samuel Ntiogwujia, has urged the people of Okoroinyong, to embrace peace, reconciliation and unconditional love for one another, for security and overall development.
Rt Hon Ntiogwujia made the appeal recently, during the inauguration of new Community Development Council (CDC) members to administer the community for three years.
The inauguration, which attracted wide excitement from the people, who thanked God that peace would return to the community, after some years of unrest, insecurity and fleeing from the community, occasioned by leadership challenges.
To honour the swearing-in ceremony, was the Traditional/Natural ruler  of Okorobile communities of, ( Okorobile, Akama and Okoroiyong), His Royal Highness Uboon Engr Goodhead David Sodienye Ntiogwujia-Inituk IX, in demonstrration of his support for peace, unity and development of the community.
The royal father vouched to use his office, to ensure sustenance of peace, love and unity, initiated by the LGA Chairman, thanking him and LGA for job well done.
In their separate speeches the outgoing CDC chairman, Elder Josiah Owor, expressed firm support for the new administration, just the Vice Chairman of the incoming CDC. Mr Patrick Sunday Omubo, vowed determination of his Council, to live up the expectation of the LGA Chairman and people of Okoroinyong community.
The leadership of security operatives in the LGA, members of the community, among others, were also present at the event, as they pledged support for the new community CDC.
Membership of the seven-member CDC comprised Rev George Joshua and Mr Patrick Sunday Omubo, as Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively, while Pastor Johnathan Johnson functions as the Secretary.
Other members include; Hon Raphael E. Ogwuyork, Mr Gabriel U. Jonathan, Mrs Ataisi Tuesday and Mr Nkaleek Friday.
The Committee among other duties, was required to dissolve all other factions in the community, withdraw all court cases and form Committee of Elders’ Forum.
Other responsibilities expected of them were synergy with Village Heads and Chiefs-in-Council, harmonize all youth groups into one youth group and coordinate community activities, with companies located within the community and community territories.
