Footwear brand, Laureldaphine is set to redefine summer fashion with its latest collection, ‘The Rebirth, a deeply personal and inspiring line that symbolizes strength, survival and renewal.
This collection is more than just a fashion statement; it is a powerful story of resilience.
The brand’s founder and creative director, Oyinbrakemi Daphine Ezetu, in an interview said she conceived The Rebirth Collection after surviving a near-death experience that left her hospitalized for a very longtime.
She suffered an unimaginable loss that dragged her into depression. While others embraced the vibrancy of summer, she spent hers confined to a hospital bed, fighting for her life.
She has chosen to celebrate this season, not with sorrow, but with a triumphant return – through art, craftsmanship, and bold new designs.
According to her the Rebirth is a testament to life’s second chances, embodying themes of transformation, healing, and hope. “Each pair in the collection represents a chapter of this journey from pain to strength, from darkness to light.”
“This collection is my way of reclaiming summer,” says Daphine.
“Last year, I spent summer in a hospital bed, facing the hardest battle of my life. This year, I choose to celebrate, to create, and to walk forward, one step at a time. The Rebirth is not just about footwear; it’s about survival, about embracing life again.
“As with all Laureldaphine creations, The Rebirth Collection is meticulously handcrafted, using the finest materials and time tested techniques. Every stitch, every detail carries meaning, blending superior craftsmanship with an emotional depth that makes these shoes more than just fashion – they are symbols of endurance and triumph.
“The Rebirth Collection will by available for pre- order from 18th April 2025, exclusively on www.laureldaphine.co.uk”
She disclosed that a portion of the proceeds will be dedicated to organizations supporting women’s health and child loss awareness, turning pain into purpose.
“This summer, Laureldaphine invites everyone to step into a new chapter—to celebrate life, embrace resilience, and walk boldly in The Rebirth”
