Drs Impakaboari Waite Kio-Lawson, Easterday Ayibatairi, Ewhrudjakpor Christopher, Helen Bob and others after being conferred with doctorate degrees by Theological University, Baltimore in Maryland, USA

Kio-Lawson, Easterday, Others Bag Doctoral Award from American Theological University

As parts of its contribution to societal progress and advancement of knowledge, the Cardinal Jacob Epipre Alari Theological University Incorporated has conferred various doctoral awards on some distinguished personalities that have made “profuse impact” on their chosen professions.
Among those conferred with doctorate degrees in various fields were, Dr Impakaboari Waite Kio-Lawson (Doctor of Public Administration), Easterday Ayibatairi (Doctor of Communication), publisher of National Investigator Newspapers, Amaitari Moximo, (Doctor of Strategic Communications), Zingi Michael Gabriel (Doctor of Divinity), Akandi Sotonye Olatimimene (Doctor of Education) and Ekadi Francis Tamaradielaye (Doctor of Public Health).

Others were Kenbo Wointari Gabriel Basil (Doctor of History), Samuel Bamidele Aidorkhare (Doctor of Security Risk Management), Tikpa Abadekeme Perekeme Clement, (Doctor of Business Administration), Dickson Sami Ebinimi (Doctor of Banking and Finance), Ewhrudjakpor Christopher, (Doctor of Education), Yamaha Kingsley Waripamu (Doctor of Sociology), Saviour Frank Ibegi (Doctor of Human Resources), Helen Bob (Doctor of Guidance Counselling), Victor Christopher (Doctor of Media Studies), Itaripopagangimi Freedom Moses Ugo (Doctor of Entomology and Pest Management) and Moses Justus Ayibatairi (Doctor of Education).

In separate interviews, two of the awardees, Dr Impakaboari Waite Kio-Lawson and Dr Easterday Ayibatairi said that it was an honour and privilege for them to be recognized and awarded these worthy degrees by this prestigious and recognized renown institution, an honour they wouldn’t take for granted, as it would further boost and spur their determination to do more and contribute to humanity.

According to Dr Lawson Kio, his professional journey has seen him serve in various key roles at prominent organizations, including the then Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, the then Directorate of Petroleum Resources, DPR, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, and currently the National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC.

“My notable achievements include my roles and participations in the conceptualization and fulfilment of the iconic ‘Nigerian Content Tower,’ the 17-storey headquarter complex of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, in Yenagoa, the nationwide NNPC Mega Filling stations, along with the innovative NNPC Floating Mega Filling stations deployed to various riverine locations in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

“Undoubtedly, these diverse accomplishments and contributions to public service, peace and society could have been factors for this award,” he said.

Dr Ayibatairi Job Easterday, in his response, said considering his background he has been able to surmount all odds and today through the publishing he had equipped himself with a Masters in Communication. He added that though he still yearns for higher degrees, he had to first train his children and today two of them are pursuing their Doctorate degrees in reputable universities.
He said that when he was considered for this doctorate degree awards, he felt highly elated.

“By this Doctorate degree award, I am qualified to deliver lectures on topical issues and interact with the elitist class of professionals, and this goes to confirm that the dancers do not appreciate their dance steps, but those who admire them do.”

He said his profession has distinguished him, and urged his colleagues not to compromise the ethics and standard of journalism.

Also speaking the only female awardee, Dr Helen Inafa Bob, commended the institution for considering them worthy of the award and poised not to disappoint the confidence reposed in them.

While, the chancellor of Cardinal Jacob Ebipre Theological University Inc, Bartimore state of Maryland, USA, said their degrees were global as America controls the world, adding that as they are doctors in different fields and highly recognized and the awardee should live according to the titles.
