Jonathan Qualified to Contest 2027 Presidential Poll- Ex-PDP Publicity Secetary

‎A Former Publicity Secetary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Barr. Osom Makbere has described as misleading and preposterous the claims that former President Goodluck Jonathan is not qualified to contest the 2027 Presidential Elections.

‎According to Makbere, Dr. Good luck Jonathan by virtue of the provisions of section 137(b), CFRN, 1999 (As Amended) is eminently qualified and all attempts to misinterpret the required sections is a distractive ploys of the opposition.

‎Makbere in a statement on Tuesday, declared that the former President, Dr Jonathan is hundreds per cent eligible to run for the 2027 Presidential elections and be sworn in if elected.

‎According to him, “The fear of GEJ has triggered slanted, preposterous and misleading interpretation of the provisions of section 137(b), CFRN, 1999 (As Amended). Artificial mis-intelligence reigns to the reckless disregard of clear and legible textually expressed provisions of the said section.”

‎”Not intending to dissipate interpretative acumen here, as our team pump muscles and wait for the distractive ploys of the opposition, we state intrepidly that GEJ hazards no qualms en route the 2027 polls and the impugning legal minds should dust their regalia and wait for the ultimate ‘kite-flying’ face off.”

‎”What irks one is rather the unabashed temerity with which they misinform the unlettered public.”

‎” Once again, not intending to rush into the gravamen of the issues, we keep our gunpowder dry ahead of the polls. Common sense is always going on top over artificial intelligence.”

‎”In sum, the operative words in s-137(b), are :”elected twice for such office”, which are  clear enough not to welcome bizarre padding of the context.”
