As activities towards the 2024 local council elections in Delta State gathers momentum, chairmanship hopeful, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for Ughelli North Local Government Area in the forthcoming local government elections, Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe, has promised to consolidate on the MORE agenda of the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori-led state administration if elected.

He made this known during a media chat with our correspondent recently at his country home in Evwreni town.

Adjogbe said one doesn’t need a billion dollars before he could work for the people whose mandate he was striving to uphold as a politician.

According to the Evwreni-born philanthropist, “By being a good leader you must have to give back to the society what is expected of you, no matter how little it is.”

Adjogbe said, “I’m a good learner and also a good listener. I know what my people need in all the wards and communities that made up Ughelli North LGA, and they all have a peculiar problem which is flooding.

“Now that the state governor in his magnanimity has started his M.O.R.E developmental strides in Ughelli North LGA, what is left for me is to complement him by sustaining the MORE agenda to do more for my people If given the mantle of leadership of the LG, I will make sure that all drainages are properly opened and water channelled to the various rivers and streams that are in the various communities to end this annual challenge of flooding.”

Rotarian Adjogbe noted that, “My government will also focus on human capital development by creating industries that will train our youths from time to time and engage them with starter packs that will enable them to be independent. The elderly will not be left out too. There shall be programmes that will be of help to the old people that will keep them busy all the time and by so doing, they will also live long in terms of sustainable health provision. There will also be a robust community health care system that will take care of children and the incapacitated.”

The Ughelli North chairmanship hopeful, Rtn. Adjogbe further said that the state government’s MORE agenda would also be consolidated in the areas of employment and appointment opportunities in the various sectors of the LGA. He promised to be the people’s chairman who would be passionate about the welfare of his people.
