How PDP Swept Bayelsa Council Elections, as Ex-Commissioner wins Nembe Council

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) captured all the councils election in Saturday as it won all the eight seats declared by the Bayelsa State electoral commission (BYSIEC).

The immediate past commissioner of Agriculture and Natural resources, Chief David Alagoa, emerged victorious for Nembe Local Government Area, flying the flag of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), with 11,829 votes as declared by the returning officer, Prof Festus Akpotohwo.

In Yenagoa Local Government Area, Hon Bulodisiye Ndiwari, also PDP candidate, emerged victorious for the seat. He garnered 56,103 votes, as was announced by the returning officer, Chief Wisdom Soreh.

Similarly, PDP’s chairmanship in Governor Douye Diri’s home-council, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, Mr Lelei Tariye secured victory with 27,823 votes as declared by the returning officer, Prof. Apuega Arikawei.

While Dr. Godrick Tams Deiduomo the returning officer for Ogbia Local Government Area, declared PDP candidate, Mr Golden Jeremiah, winner with 42,462 votes.

Hon Onniye Isaac of the People’s Democratic Party clinched the victory in Ekeremor Local Government Area with 35,177 votes as was declared by the returning officer, Prof. Joseph Omoro.

In Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, the PDP chairmanship candidate, Hon Target Segibo emerged victorious having scored 36,326 votes as declared by the returning officer, Dr Ebi Stanley Udisi.

While Brass Local Government Area, Febo Lucky took a commanding lead position for victory.

Mrs Alice Allen Tangi of the People’s Democratic Party was declared winner in Sagbama Local Government Area, according to result declared by the returning officer, Prof Abiodun Adelegan after securing 51,543 votes.
