The chairman, Cyril Ogude, and members of the Board of Trustees of Government College Ughelli Class of Friends, (GCU CoF) have sent a congratulatory message to Engr. Dr. (Chief) Samuel Adjogbe, the former executive director, Projects (EDP) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as he was admitted as a fellow of the Automotive and Locomotive Engineers Institute (AutoEI).
In a statement issued on behalf of its members, the Board of Trustees of GCU – CoF congratulated the engineer for “a well deserved honour and promotion by the Institute.
“Government College Ughelli Class of Friends hereby congratulates her Board of Trustees member on his admission as a fellow of Automotive and Locomotive Engineers Institute. We give God the Glory.”
The statement, which was signed by the chairman of the Board of Trustees, Cyril Ogude, was full of praises for Engr. Dr. (Chief) Adjogbe’s philanthropic gestures to the club and also to the general society.
Meanwhile, the president-general of Unenurhie community, Mr Peter Maison, has also congratulated the former NDDC EDP “for this great promotion of his professionalism in the engineering field.”
Speaking with our correspondent during a recent media chat at his residence, the security expert said, “We will continue to celebrate our leader and brother, Engr. Dr. Samuel Adjogbe for adding yet another white eagle’s feather to his hat as Urhobo chief and Urhobo political leader.
“He deserved the honour as he has continued to prove himself as a renowned and a reliable engineer in Nigeria and the international community. As a community, we are praying that President Muhammadu Buhari will again remember him for another higher appointment in the government since he once served in the NDDC board without blemish or corrupt practices. We know that, it’s time he will continue to climb higher in his career and in the government of the federation,” he said.
Also speaking, a Youth leader in Unenurhie community, Mr Friday Diamond aka ‘Ogbo’ also congratulated Chief Adjogbe for the well deserved honour and fellowship award.
“The Oyinvwin of Urhobo land deserves this great honour. In fact, this is the reward of his labour and contributions to the growth of engineering field in Nigeria. Therefore, on behalf of all Unenurhie youths, we celebrate with our father on this joyous occasion. We want to appeal to President Mohammadu Buhari to consider our father for another bigger position in the government. Our elders say; when your friend is on top of an orange tree, you don’t need to lick unripe orange fruits. The sky is his limit. We will continue to celebrate him for greater achievements.”
