GKS Ends 2023 Christian Feast of Tabernacles

The 2023 annual Christian Feast of Tabernacles of the God’s Kingdom Society (GKS), the Church of the living God, has come and gone with much joy and celebration amongst members and invited guests at the church headquarters, St. Urhobo Square, Salem City, Warri, Delta State. 

The eight -day feast which began on Sunday 10th December, 2023 was rounded up on Sunday 17th December, 2023 with different activities and events like sermons, Bible lectures, Bible Quiz, cultural dances etc occupying each day with fanfare. 

The eighth day which was the grand finale drew together so many celebrants within and outside the country and featured so many activities ranging from processional dance by dancing troupes of all the GKS branches across the country in the major streets within the Salem City and Warri metropolis. It was a display of different cultural dances by the different ethnic groups in the country by a way of showcasing their traditional songs and dancing styles. It was a dramatic show to be hold. 

The eighth day which was tagged, “Last and Great Day Holy Convocation” was rounded up with a powerful address delivered to the celebrants and the guests by the President of the God’s Kingdom Society, Brother Felix Ekundayo Adedokun. The 2023 address which was titled, “The Issue of Supremacy Of God Almighty Will Soon Be Permanently Decided” was delivered to teeming crowds of people, including members and invited guests with full attention.

Presenting the address before the celebrants, the President of the society gave different Biblical instances with Bible quotations where the supremacy of God Almighty was manifested and displayed through God’s faithful and obedient servants before some wicked and powerful leaders in the Bible like Joseph and Pharaoh of Egypt, Elijah and the prophets of Baal, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, King Nebuchadnezzar and the three faithful Jews and many other ones. 

Brother Felix Ekundayo Adedokun however concluded his address to the people by saying that, “It is therefore incumbent on all who love truth and righteousness to do the will of God so as to be saved, hence the warning from God through his angel, unto them that dwell on earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people. Saying with a loud voice, fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and sea, and the fountains of waters.” Rev. 14:6, 7, Isaiah 28: 21, 22.

President Adedokun went further to tell the celebrants about the imminent and unavoidable judgment of God that would fall upon all the people on earth, whether dead or living. He therefore advised them saying, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God, and keep his commandments. For this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Eccl. 12: 13, 14. 

According to the practices of the God’s Kingdom Society, the last and great day holy convocation which was the grand finale of the 2023 annual Christian Feast of Tabernacles was ended with a thanksgiving and charitable donations by members and guests which lasted over two hours with songs provided by the mass choir. The divine service was officiated by the President of the GKS, Brother Felix Ekundayo Adedokun and ably supported by the Vice President, Brother Tariola Michael Ekiseowei, the General Secretary, Brother Benedict Tamunotonyesigha Hart and other members of the GKS Executive Board.
