FSG Bid Farewell to Late Lucky Akin at Evwreni

The Fidelis Support Group (FSG), a popular PDP-affiliated political pressure group in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State recently gave its support to the Akin family as they laid to rest their late brother, Mr. Lucky Akin.

Late Akin, aged 55, was allegedly murdered by a suspected kidnapper at Evwreni town two months ago. 

The funeral event which was held on Saturday January 13, 2024 at the deceased’s residence, brought together mourners, including the members of the Fidelis Support Group, led by her pioneer founder, Rtn. Fidelis Oghenevweta Adjogbe, and other top notch of the political group. 

In his condolence message after the interment, the founder of the Fidelis Support Group (FSG), Rtn. Fidelis Oghenevweta Adjogbe, an SSA to the Delta State governor and also a chairmanship hopeful for Ughelli North LGA in the 2024 Delta State Local Government Elections said, “We as members of the Fidelis Support Group came here today to participate in the funeral service of our late brother, Mr. Lucky Akin whose younger sibling, Mr. John Akin is a very active and committed member of this political group. Mr. John Akin is one of the greatest supporters of my chairmanship ambition here in Evwreni Ward.

“In such a mournful gathering like this, we need to condole our member, the children of the deceased and rest members of the Akin family over the sudden demise. The deceased in question was somebody known to us individually here in Evwreni town. He was such a kind, generous and a peace-loving person. We pray that his gentle soul rest in peace,” he said.

In the same way, the director general of the political group, Hon. Desmond Okpako and the chairman, Dr. Johnson Abrucha expressed their deepest condolences on behalf of the group to Mr. John Akin and the rest of the Akin family over the sudden demise of their brother, Mr. Lucky Akin.

The duo also described the deceased as a key supporter and promoter of the Ughelli North chairmanship ambition of their principal and founder, Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe until he was gruesomely murdered by the suspected kidnapper.

Late Mr. Lucky Akin is survived by a wife, seven children, siblings and other family members. Until his death, he was a member of the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Evwreni Branch.
