The saying that a gold fish has no hiding place played out recently when Mallam Shehu Mohammed was bestowed with an award of excellence by the niger delta media forum for distinguishing himself in the discharge of his responsibilities to the nation.
According to the President of the organization, Prince Gbasam, Mohammed who is the Corps Marshal of the Federal Roads Safety Corps was honored in recognition for his outstanding leadership and commitment in repositioning the road traffic management agency for greater efficiency and effective service delivery to the nation while leveraging on regular enlightenment campaigns to sensitize motorists and other road users on the dangers of excessive speeding and other dangerous driving habits as well as the need to obey all traffic laws which have significantly reduced accidents in our roads.
It is interesting to note the disciplinarian and unassuming corps Marshal has ensured the regular training and retraining of officers and men of the corps with a view to carrying out their responsibilities with international best practices which have impacted positively on the officers who have been exhibiting high sense discipline and patriotism in their dealings with motorists and other road users while performing their duties.
Responding the corps Marshal expressed appreciation to the Niger delta media forum for finding him worthy of the award which he described as a mural booster and pledged his commitment to continue to do his best in the interest of the nation.
He however dedicated the award to the officers and men of the corp who he said have been working tirelessly to protect and project the image of organization positively and urged them to continue in that direction as according to him all hard working staff will be rewarded accordingly .
The award ceremony which brief but colourful took place at the office of the corps Marshal and witnessed by officers of the corps amid pomp and pageantry.
