First Year in Office: Marlon Felicitates With Bayelsa Speaker

The member representing Constituency 3 SILGA in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Moses Marlon, has felicitated with the Speaker, Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, on his one year Anniversary in office.

This was contained in a statement released by the member on Friday.

On February 19th 2020, Mr. Abraham Ingobere was unanimously elected by members as Speaker after the former Speaker, Rt. Hon. Monday Obolo Bubou, stepped down following the inauguration of Governor Douye Diri, who is from the same Bayelsa Central Senatorial District as Bubou-Obolo.

Moses, who saluted Ingobere as he marked one year in office, commended the maturity, stability, inclusive leadership style and focused legislation that the Speaker has instituted in the Bayelsa Assembly.

According to him, Ingobere’s rich experience as deputy speaker of the Fourth, Fifth, and now Speaker of the Sixth Assembly had culminated in the passing of people-oriented bills and oversight functions in the state Assembly in this one year.

Moses urged all to continue to work in synergy and collaboration with the Speaker for the overall development and interest of Bayelsa State, and prayed for Almighty God to grant the Speaker long life, good health and more wisdom as he leads the Assembly in delivery of quality legislative services to the people and government of Bayelsa.
