The people of Ekrokpe community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have congratulated Dr. Duke Okoro on his appointment as rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun.
They also appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari; the minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, and Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege for finding their son, Dr. Duke Okoro worthy for the appointment.
In a statement on Wednesday, issued by the president general, Comrade Dr. Igho Sunday Ogoyibo, the community said, “We the people of Ekrokpe Community in Ughelli South LGA, Delta State, congratulate our illustrious son, Dr. Duke Okoro on his appointment as rector, Federal Polytechnic, Orogun.
“We also thank Mr. President, Muhamadu Buhari; the minister of Education, Adamu Adamu and our leader, Deputy President of the Senate, Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege who made the appointment of Dr. Duke Okoro possible.”
The community further commended Omo-Agege for attracting the federal polytechnic to Delta State, and expressed confidence in Okoro’s capacity and ability to deliver on his new assignment.
Okoro, who was recently appointed as the pioneer rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, has been described as an illustrious personality from Ekrokpe community.
