The people of Ekeremor Local Government Area has given Rt. Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson’s government kudos for living up to his electioneering promises, by constructing a motorable road to Ekeremor town, headquarters of the LGA.

Before now, to access Ekeremor LGA the people had to travel to Bomadi Local Government Area before they could arrive at their destination.

Hon. Pius Jonah, Commissioner for Special project, Bayelsa State expressed profound appreciation while speaking to journalists during a civic reception for him and Barr. Lawrence Ewrujakpo after their visit to the community during the Yuletide.

An elated Hon. Jonah, who was full of praise for Governor Dickson, for considering him fit for appointment as commissioner for special project, stressed that the governor has performed beyond expectation by living up to his electioneering campaign and constructing a road to Ekeremor town.

He said that for “making the road project a reality, His Excellency has positively shown us that PDP is the true party to follow.”

Speaking further, he said though there are still some minor areas that needs final touches, the most important thing is that the road is now through for usage.

Meanwhile, Hon Pius Jonah who was accompanied by the former commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor, who is the PDP flag bearer of the Bayelsa -West Senatorial district, also visited HRH Agbodo Gbaseinmo, paramount ruler of Ekeremor town, where the people were advised against electoral violence and the need to maintain peace and tranquility during the 2019 elections.

The conception of the road project dates back to the Second Republic, during the late Shehu Shagari presidency. No concerted efforts were made by successive administrations at both federal and state level to muster resources to bring the dream of driving to Ekeremor a reality until now.
