At the 15th Radiography induction and oath taking ceremony held in October 2021, Ekana Enene, a medical radiographer was honored by the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences Students Association, University of Calabar, Cross River State for his contribution to the growth of the facility and education at large during his course of study.
Comrade Obono Gabriel, president of the Nigeria Association of Radiography Students commenting on the Iconic award bestowed on Ekana Enene said the awardee “came, saw and conquered in his quest to attain the Golden Fleece.”
Comrade Obono however prayed that Ekana Enene would achieve success in all his future endeavors.
But the Dean of faculty, Allied Medical Sciences, Prof. Idongesit Akpabio, was reserved in his high hopes for Ekana Enene’s fellow graduates when he revealed that the field gets hotter as they strive to go higher.
“The important advice is that you should try your best at all times to remain calm and unblemished no matter the heat,” he said.
On his part, the acting head of department, Dr. Benjamin Udoh, said it was a pleasure and privilege to be a part of the success of the 15th graduating students of the facility over the course of five years, but reminded them that the greatest and most fundamental role they would play as radiographers is in the service to humanity, while wishing them continuous success and happiness.
The Iconic award was given by the Araki Odey led executive.
