Unenurhie community, Evwreni kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State was thrown into celebration recently as a popular entertainment centre in the community, Ogbo Hotel, popularly called ‘See Me, See You’ organized a party to mark its second anniversary.

The event, which was organized at the hotel premises, saw the presence of ‘who is who’ in the entertainment industry, community leaders, various security groups and those in the political class.

Speaking with our correspondent, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the hotel, who is also the chairman of Unenurhie Vigilante Group, Mr. Friday Diamond aka ‘Ogbo,’ appreciated his clients, describing them as the power behind his success and sustainability in the business for the past two years.

“First, I’m grateful to God for allowing us to enjoy peace and harmony in our host community and in this hotel since the past two years without chaos or crisis. It’s the work of God.

“Again, I want to appreciate all my clients and patronizers for keeping us in this business for the past two years. In fact, they are the power behind our success and sustainability in this business. Without them coming to patronize us here, this business can’t run all these years. It would have folded up since. But for them, we are very much successful. This is why I invited all my clients and patronizers, my friends and business associates, members of my political family and leaders of our host community to share and celebrate these two years with us.”

An elated president-general of Unenurhie community, Mr. Peter Maison, who was at the event with some members of his executive said, “I must commend Mr. Friday Diamond for executing these business initiatives. He is a young and vibrant entrepreneur and hotelier that is worthy of emulation by our today’s youths.

“As we all know of this young man, he went to higher institution and obtained a degree. But since there are no jobs in Nigeria, he ventured into menial jobs from where he gathered money to establish this entertainment centre. He didn’t lavish or squander his money unnecessarily as the case with many of our young men. I think our youths in this community should follow suit.

“I still want to call on all of you to continue to patronize this place in good faith. With what I’m seeing here today, in fact, it’s the best place to be in this part of our world. It’s indeed a relaxation centre for everybody.”

In the same vein, Hon. Desmond Okpako and Hon. Marcus Uba, members of the CEO’s political family, described the hotel as a place for fun and enjoyment. The duo however advised Mr. Diamond to keep improving on the business by using modern technology and state of the arts to attract more clients and customers.

The two young politicians from Evwreni town equally advised the community leadership to sustain and build on the existing peace in the community, adding that peace is paramount and key to a successful business or investment in any place.
