As the 2024 local government elections in Delta State draw near, more groups and persons in the Ughelli North Local Government Area have continued to express support for Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe, a People’s Democratic Party, PDP, aspirant for the Ughelli North chairmanship seat.
Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe who is a philanthropist, “and a politician with core political values,” is from Evwreni Ward 08 in Ughelli North.
According to our correspondent, he was described by his political associates in the Fidelis Support Group and PDP as a man of the people.
Party members, who spoke with our correspondent, said Adjogbe “has organized so many empowerment programmes for his people from his private pockets irrespective of political affiliations or community of origin.
“He also facilitated the execution of many projects by the state government and also supported some of the youths, not only in his Evwreni home town, but across the entire Ughelli North LGA to acquire different skills training. At the end of all the training programmes, he also make sure that workshops and business centres were opened for these young men and women.”
Hon. Desmond Duke Okpako, director general of the Fidelis Support Group, said “These rare political virtues always displayed by Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe at every time, made so many political and social organizations in Ughelli North LGA to pledge their support for his aspiration for the chairmanship position of council area.
“In the same way, many PDP leaders in Ughelli North LGA have expressed their readiness to vote for Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe during the primary elections of political parties to select party candidates for the local government elections.
“This set of PDP political leaders in the local government council described Rtn. Adjogbe as a loyal and respectful young politician to both elders and youths in the party. He is a politician in the party who has fully identified with the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori MORE Agenda.
“This however demonstrates that, Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe is a man of unquestionable character and a leader who fosters unity among his people. He is a peacemaker and upholder of equity, fairness and justice,” Okpako said.
Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe recently received a career/professional award as a member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPRCN) and a Chartered Information Technology Practitioner (CITP) and a Member of the Computer Professionals of Nigeria (MCPN).
