DELSU Offers Oyibokure Doctorate Degree in Political Science

It was celebration of academic excellence recently among family, friends and the entire university community of the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, as Mr. Goodluck Irorohwo Oyibokure, bagged a doctorate degree in Political Science and Public Administration.  

Oyibokure, who is now to be addressed as Dr. Goodluck Irorohwo Oyibokure, is a renowned lecturer at the Department of Political Science, University of Delta, Agbor. He was offered a Ph.D in the academic discipline by the Delta State University, Abraka after his successful defense of the thesis (external) at the Post-Graduate School, DELSU, Abraka. 

In a phone conversation with our correspondent, Dr. Oyibokure who was highly elated said, “I’m indeed grateful to obtain my doctorate degree in my chosen academic discipline. I’m looking towards it anyway because I worked for it. I didn’t buy it with money or obtained it through bride. It was offered to me by the department through my academic performance and merit based on the accepted standard and prerequisites for obtaining Ph.D in all renowned universities across the globe.

“Let me at this time, thank my lovely and dear parents for their moral and financial support. In the same way, I want to thank all my siblings and family members for the support they also gave to me during the programme. I want to also thank my dear friends, co-staff and my thesis supervisor for their immeasurable contributions to the success of this my doctorate degree programme. Time and space won’t allow me to mention names one after the other. Finally, I give all the glory and honour to God Almighty for his love and care to me and my immediate family throughout the academic programme.”

Dr. Oyibokure had earlier obtained Bachelor and Master degrees in Political Science and Public Administration from the prestigious University of Calabar, in Cross River State, Nigeria.
