The joy of Femi Dare, an Assistant Comptroller of Customs knew no bounds as he was bestowed with an award of Excellence by the Niger Delta Media Forum, for distinguishing himself in the discharge of his responsibilities to Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the country in general.
Dare, who is the second in command at the export seat of the Nigeria Customs Service in Onne, Rivers State was honored for “his outstanding contributions and commitments to the growth of the Nigerian economy through effective and efficient revenue generation which has impacted positively on the revenue profile of the nation as well as ensuring probity and accountability in the discharge of his responsibilities.”
While commending him for his commitment and dedication to duty as well as service to humanity, president of the group, Prince Gbasam, however urged him to continue to do his best in the interest of the nation and humanity.
Responding, AC Dare expressed appreciation to the Niger Delta Media Forum for the honor and promised to continue to do his best in the service of the nation and humanity.
He maintained that he will continue to uphold the ethics of the service as a guiding principle and ensure that the core mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling activities and national security are not compromised.
