The sudden order closing down Bori Main Park by Hon Nwidum Sunday Alias “uncle” the councilor representing ward 13 in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State is causing pain to commuters and residents of the area.
This is even officials of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NUTRW, led officers of the Nigerian Civil Defense Corps to shutdown business activities in Bori Main Park on alleged order from above.
It was gathered that residents of Bori are still wondering what must has been the reasons for such a decision, without interfacing with them.
When this reporter inquired from the security agents, who were posted there, they said they were invited to restrict movement of people to and fro the park and as well stop any business in the park including transportation, insisting that only the chairman of Khana LGA, Dr Bariere Thomas is the one who have the final say on the matter.
