Christians Urged to Imbibe Thanksgiving ‘to Attract God’s Blessing’

By Amos Odhe, Yenagoa

Christians have been advised to imbibe the culture of thanksgiving to God as part of their day to day living, in order to ensure His faithfulness and mercies upon them.

This was handed down by Pst. Roland Itienajirhivwe, the general overseer of Pillar of Light Fire Ministry, Igbogene, in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State during his church’s thanksgiving and dedication.

Pst Roland said he has every reason to thank God who has been faithful to him and his ministry in the last two years, adding that the best way to receive more from God is to always thank Him.

“I want Christians to always remember God in thanksgiving because without Him, nothing can be achieved by strength or human power. We should see it as part of our daily life no matter the conditions whether good or bad.

“I will always be grateful to God who called me. It was in revelation that God showed me what to do. I saw a Pillar of Fire and also saw a great multitude in that revelation. God has given me a Teaching Ministry.

“God has been so good in the last two years. We actually started in a room but by the grace of God, through fasting and prayers, He blessed the members financially and today, we have built our church auditorium.

“The members are so courageous.  Throughout these two years, there is no record of death, no sicknesses, no calamities. God added souls to the church,” he said.

He said believers should not give up on their dreams and aspirations in life as God alone is able to bring to pass.

Ministering on the topic, ‘The Keys to Reign in Christ Jesus,’ another cleric, Pst. Victor Akpoethe, said God has made us as kings and priests, adding that one need to pay the price in other to obtain the crown.

Pst. Victor who took his text from Revelation 3v10 and Deuteronomy 8v18, advised Christians not to leave their lives the way others are doing. “Some people do not have a purpose in life at all.

“I want you to understand that the difference between a man and a man is the sacrifice they pay. Some Christians want to enjoy God blessings but they are not ready to pay the sacrifice”.

The preacher made references to Abraham, Solomon, David, Noah amongst others that pay the price to reach the goals God set before them.

Highlight of the occasion was the dedication of the church by the spiritual father, Pst. Frank Ayobra.
