Dignitaries from all walks of life attended the chieftaincy installation of Chief Justice Silas T. Okujagu as the Head of Chief Tamunodiepiriye Family Group of Houses in Okujagu Community of Kirike Kingdom in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The event featured various traditional dances and display by masquerade groups, as men and women decked in fantastic colourful attires added colour and touch to the epoch ceremony.
Speaking to journalists at the sideline of the event, the newly installed Chief promised to unite the community by introducing policies that will have direct bearing to the peaceful co-existence of the people of the community.
He also assured that he will bring development and create an enabling atmosphere for the people.
Chief Engr. Sampson Ngerebara lauded Chief Justice Silas Okujagu, pointing out that he is an exceptional leader of repute , assuring that he will make positive impact in the community.
WariAlabo Kalada Jene, friend of the celebrant poured encomiums on him, saying Chief Justice Okujagu is an embodiment of peace and progress. He noted that he is confident that the Chief will succeed in the task ahead.
Many personalities took turn to heep praises on the celebrant and advised him to live up to expectation, considering his good track record over the years.
Notable personalities who graced the occasion include Chief Jasper Jumbo, Chief Engr. Sampson Ngerebara, Wari Alabo Kalada Jene, Chief Dr. Pius Waritimi, Chief Gogo Ada-Rufus Mbere, Eremie Otonye, prominent Chiefs etc.
The occasion also witnessed a lavish reception at the celebrant’s residence.
