The Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of Mion Data Technology Ltd, Dr Charles Amanze, has been honoured as a ‘Distinguished Company Director of the year 2024’ by the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria (NDMPN).
Speaking during a brief ceremony at the company’s corporate office at Onne, Rivers State, on Wednesday, Convener of Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria, Amb Joseph Asomeji, explained that they were at his office to “ratify the report” of their assessment team on the company and its management, and congratulated his exploits in the shipping, export and logistics industry.
Amb. Asomeji said that NDMPN is an association of practicing journalists from the Niger Delta Region “with intent of bringing to the front burner issues affecting the development of the region, support for education of the younger generation and encouraging philanthropists and public office holders, among other things.
He said the award on the MD, Mion Data Technology Ltd is to encourage him to “remain on the speed lane of developing the region with his numerous business ideas.”
Responding on the honour done him, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mion Data Technology Ltd, Dr Charles Amanze, thanked the media group for finding him and his group of companies worthy of the recognition.
“I am happy for this honour. I will not say that am flattered because I didn’t come to any of you to preach for the award, but I know I have contributed just as you mentioned in your presentations; and in as much as I live and time passes, we will continue to contribute our quota to the development of our dear state.”
Dr. Amanze, who is also the Ohazurume of Nsirimo Community in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State posited that shipping and export activities remains the core of their industry, adding that they put in their best in logistics services to ensure their clients get the deserved services.
He accepted the award with an affirmation that he will continue to contribute to the development of the Niger Delta.
Highpoint of the ceremony was a facility tour while the wife of the MD, Mrs. Roseline Amanze joined to witness the presentation.
