A wind of celebration blew in Bayelsa State Thursday as President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Chief Timipre Sylva as the minister of state for petroleum.
Mrs Cynthia Princewill, who is the state women leader of the All Progress Congress (APC) in the state, described the appointment as a plus to every Bayelsan.
The women leader said “among the millions in Bayelsa State, it is only our leader that was picked by President Muhammadu Buhari, and it is a call for celebration.
“We are celebrating our leader because we know the potentials in him, that he will deliver,” she said.
Also speaking on the gubernatorial election in the state, Mrs Princewill said APC is the only party that is very organized in the state.
“We have less numbers of the aspirants and the party believes in the direct primaries that will carry every card-carrying member of our party along, and whoever will be the flag bearer of the party will unseat PDP in forthcoming Governorship Election in November 2019.”
She urged the women to continue praying for the good of Bayelsa State.
