Bayelsa Media Network Awards (BMNA) has presented a letter of nomination of award as the “PEACE AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR”, to Dr. Reuben Awari-George in recognition of his humanitarian gesture to society.
The prestigious Bayelsa Media Network Awards, which seeks to recognise individuals who have made significant contributions to society, is billed to hold on the 26th of December, 2025 at the NUJ Press Center, Azikoro, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The letter of nomination and award banner was presented to Dr. Awari-George at his JK4 residence in Akinima, headquarters of Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Speaking during the unveiling of the nominee’s banner, Project Coordinator of BMNA, Mr Blessing Mathew-Ozegbe, noted that the essence of the awards was to recognize and appreciate individuals from various walks of life who have impacted lives and their immediate environment positively.
Mr Mathew-Ozegbe, explained that BMNA, which is widely acclaimed as the most authentic media awards ceremony Bayelsa State and the Niger Delta region cos of it’s credibility and transparent process of selecting it’s awardees, will continue to drive excellence in all spectrum of life, while contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
Flanked by other members of the BMNA team, the Project Coordinator, congratulated Dr Awari-George, noting that his nomination was based on his outstanding philanthropic and humanitarian gesture that cut across various sectors, especially the grassroots in both Rivers and Bayelsa States, he further applauded DR Awari for his peaceful disposition, humility and his open door policy to all those who come to him for one need or another, Mr Ozegbe stated that the Awardee is a noble man of candor whose impeccable attributes of enthroning peace in his community and beyond has put him on the spotlight of the BMNA Organizers ,hence his nomination for the prestigious award
Some relatives of the nominee commended Dr. Awari for bagging the BMNA nomination ,noting that it is a testament of his kind and peaceful nature,
They described the Awardee as a silent philanthropist whose passion and love to develop humanity is unequalled noting that the proposed award is well deserved.
Responding, the “PEACE AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR” nominee, Dr. Awari-George, thanked the Organizers of the BMNA for finding him worthy alongside other notableNigerians to be honored.
Dr. Awari who is also a community leader and philanthropist appreciated the BMNA Team for taken cognizance of his little contributions to humanity and promised to do more for his people and Nigerians.
