A respected entrepreneur, philanthropist and engineer in Rivers State, Chief Engr. Grant Offor, has laid his beloved wife to rest at his country- home, Omagwa, in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
Archbishop of the Diocese of Ikwerre, Blessing Enyindah, in his sermon at St. Martins Anglican Church, Omagwa, on Saturday, urged young women to always support their husbands to succeed in life, as late Mrs. Nimi Obata Offor, supported her husband.
The Archbishop admonished the family members, especially late Mrs. Nimi’s husband, Chief Engr. Grant Offor to have solace and faith in the Lord, because Nimi lived a worthy life and highly impacted on people’s lives while on earth as a Christian.
Earlier within the week, before the burial, a service of song and night of tributes, had been organized by her family in Port Harcourt, where Rev. Venerable Dr. Goddey Chimchetam Eleeh of the Anglican Communion, urged people to always appreciate the grace of God upon their lives, because life on earth is like a battle field where stray bullet has respect for nobody.
He noted that life is full of unpredictabilities, thus, one has to be watchful and prayerful as a Christian soldier fighting on the side of Jesus Christ.
Speaking at the graveside of his beloved wife, Chief Grant Offor, noted that even though his wife is gone from his sight, she still lives in his heart, and prayed God to receive her into his bossom.
He noted that his late wife was a virtuous woman, humble and respectful and impacted on people’s lives while on earth. He grieved that she left him and the family when they least expected.
Her father in-law, Elder Sury. Boniface Grant Offor, described his late daughter in-law as a good woman who had immense respect for the customs and tradition of Ikwerre land. “The family will miss her a lot. She was a good wife to my son”.
