It was moment of dining and wining at Ughelli, the headquarters of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State as family members, friends, business associates and guests gathered together to celebrate the birthday bash of Master Great Fidelis Apare in grand style.
The event which was held at the family residence, drew together thousands of dignitaries and personalities from far and near.
Addressing guests during the party, father of the celebrant, Mr. Fidelis Arhiakpore Apare, who was excited, thanked all his family members, friends and business associates for finding time to join them celebrate their son’s birthday.
“My joy knew no bound as I see all of you celebrating this moment with us. Our son is now two years old. How time flies. We never planned to celebrate the birthday party big. It’s just an indoor event. Yet, we are surprised to see this large crowd of people around us. Not only that your presentation of birthday gifts to our son, your goodwill messages and prayers are appreciated by us. We have nothing to offer than to pray God to richly bless you and all your families and to also continue to celebrate in all the days of your lives.”
Mr. Apare further prayed for his son, saying, “As we gathered to celebrate the birthday of our son today, as the father and also the head of this house, I pray for him to be healthy and joyous in life. God will add more fruitful years to him in good health and abundant blessings. He will always live to fulfil the meaning of his own name, Great. He will be a great man to reckon with in the society. He will be great in school. God will protect him for us and also protect us for him. We can’t labour in vain. We must enjoy the fruits of our labour. That same God that blessed us with him will continue to bless us with other ones. In the same way, God will bless all of you for coming to celebrate with us today. Celebration will be your new song from today. All these we asked through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
The high point of the birthday bash was the cutting of the birthday cake by the celebrant, Master Great Fidelis Apare, supported by his age mates, his parents, family members and other important dignitaries. Thereafter, gifts were presented to him by the guests.
