The national chairman, Presidential Amnesty Programme (Phase 3), general Elaye Slaboh, and his national/state excutives have paid a courtesy visit to the member representing Ahoada West in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Sokari Goodboy Sokari, in his office in Port Harcourt.
The purpose of the meeting, our correspondent gathered, was for a “formal familiarisation and to seek partnership in ensuring peace and stability in the Niger Delta region for investors to come in.”
Responding, Hon Sokari was overwhelmed and particularly thanked the Rivers State leader, Markson Isere (IJB), for leading the delegation. The Assembly member described I.J.B as a true friend for standing by him during his election.
Sokari advised the national chairman, general Elaye Slaboh, to think beyond being a chairman but rather come up with creative ideas in order to make difference. He further charged Elaye Slaboh to bring everybody on board, adding that “a divided house will not stand. There is need for an inclusive body for the ex – agitators”
In his remarks, general Princewill Kotingo expressed appreciation to the Assembly member “who despite his tight schedule” deemed it fit to give them a warm reception, a gesture they promised to treasure and promised to maintain a harmonious relationship with him.
“We shall not take this your kind gesture for granted,” he said.
