Hon. Fidelis Adjogbe, former SSA to the immediate past governor of Delta State and also the founder of the Fidelis Support Group (FSG), has celebrated the first lady of Delta state, Her Excellency, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, as she unveiled her pet project at her hometown, Evwreni in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.

The event which gathered PDP leaders and other dignitaries from across the state was facilitated by the ‘You Matter Charity Foundation,’ a foundation established by the governor’s wife to cater to the needs of women and children across the state.

The first lady’s pet project was centred on “the campaign for menstrual hygiene” for young girls and ladies, drawn from different communities in Ughelli North LGA and other parts of the state. The event which was described by many PDP women leaders as productive and meaningful to the lives of the young girls featured health talks delivered by medical doctors on menstrual hygiene for females and how to use sanitary pads during menstrual periods.

What the First Lady has done today has exposed our young girls to certain things they didn’t know about themselves. We have nothing to offer than to celebrate her and also to appreciate her for the good work she’s doing across the state,” he said.
