Treasurer of the famous Hall of Fame Tennis Club of Port Harcourt, Mr. Stanley Adindu has disclosed that the club was brought into being not only for the purposes of playing tennis, but also to serve as platform for reaching out and impacting lives of the down-trodden in the society.
Making this known while interacting with sportswriters at the Sharks Football Stadium, Port Harcourt over the weekend, Adindu said there is need for individuals to engage in robust socialization with those around them, adding that socializing with others broadens one’s scope of networking and also ensure longevity.
He noted with regret at the rate at which people are dying every day and week as a result of socio-economic pressure or inability to manage themselves very well, adding that this has contributed to reducing one’s life span.
Adindu who has love for the game of football appealed to individuals to have a rethink and start getting socialized with those around them, noting that this will guarantee them overwhelming happiness and long life.
“There is no denying the fact that the country today is very toxic and in a situation where one is unable to manage himself very well, it is obvious that one’s stay on this planet will be surprisingly be reduced.
“Therefore, it will interest you to note that as part of our advocacy on the need for active socialization among all men, we as a vibrant body, are working and looking forward to partnering with one of the leading All Stars Soccer outfit, Crystal All Stars FC of Port Harcourt for them to go with us to Akwa Ibom State next month to unwind and equally go round to see some different environment as well to taste some edible things that can make one happy at the end of the day”, he said.
Adindu also seized the opportunity to advise everyone to be actively involved in one sporting activity or the other, adding that this is a way of keeping fit and healthy.
