AC Ibrahim Bags ‘Award of Excellence’

The saying that a golden fish has no hiding place played out recently when Mohammed Ibrahim was bestowed with an award of Excellence by the Niger Delta Media Forum for distinguishing himself in discharge of his responsibilities to the Nigeria Customs Service and country in general.

According to the organization, Ibrahim who is an Assistant Comptroller of Customs and second in command at Customs gate unit at the Area 2 command of the Nigeria Customs Service in Onne Rivers State was honored in recognition of “his outstanding contributions and commitment to the growth of the Nigerian economy, through effective and efficient revenue generation as well as ensuring fiscal policy compliance in carrying out his responsibilities which have contributed significantly in the revenue profile of the country.”

The award ceremony which took place in the office of the deputy comptroller in charge of the Customs gate drew several commendations and encomiums from the recipient’s colleagues and boss, who described him as a role model and exceptional officer who has ensured that probity and accountability remain his watchword, and commended the Niger Delta Media Forum for recognizing one of their best.

Responding, AC Ibrahim expressed appreciation to the group for finding him worthy of the award assuring that he will continue to do his best in the discharge of his responsibilities to the service and country, describing the the award as unexpected and commended the deputy comptroller and the entire management for creating an enabling environment for seamless operations in the service.

He however dedicated the award to the entire officers and men of the unit led by the deputy comptroller for their support and cooperation which he said led to the award and promised not to disappoint them but to continue to be a good ambassador of the unit.
