The joy of Mohammed Hamma, an assistant comptroller of Customs and officer in charge of operations seat at Area One Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State knew no bounds as he was honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Niger Delta Media Forum.
According to the Forum, the award to Hamma is “for distinguishing himself in the discharge of his responsibilities to Nigeria Customs Service and the nation.
“AC Hamma is honoured in recognition of his outstanding contributions and commitments to the growth of Nigerian Economy through effective and efficient revenue generation as well as ensuring probity and accountability in carrying out his responsibilities as a customs officer which have impacted positively on the revenue profile and economy of the nation,” they said.
Responding, AC Hamma expressed appreciation to the Niger Delta Media Forum for finding him worthy of the award.
He described the award as a morale booster that will spur him to continue to do more in the interest of the nation and humanity.
