… Urges Government Intervention in Education

The director, Eggheads International School, Professor Ezekiel Edem Williams has made a clarion call to critical stakeholders in education, especially private schools owners to embrace the new innovation which will boost quality service in schools. Professor Williams lamented over the falling standard of education and pointed out those proprietors, parents, teachers will synergize for quality education of the students who the society looks upon as leaders of tomorrow. Professor E.E Williams made this known to the press, on the occasion of Eggheads International School parents, teachers meeting held in Port-Harcourt. He averred that, ”Eggheads International School has launched National Association of Proprietors, Parents, Teachers Association of Nigeria (NAPATAN) which is a nomenclature that is born by Eggheads International School for the benefits of the students.
‘This will unify and solidify the relationship between parents, proprietors, teachers to ensure that a reputable ground for students to be well trained and quality education is given to them.
“The people of today are leaders of tomorrow, and when they are neglected, they are now left behind, and it becomes a serious challenge to the society,” Professor Williams who is also a senior partner of Eggheads Consultants said emphatically.
Commenting on examination malpractices, which is the order of the day, especially schools with special centers.
The former, chairman Chartered Public Accountants (CPA), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM( frowned at unhealthy attitude of proprietors and principals who engage in such unethical behavior. Prof Williams then, lampooned them for having lost the concepts of education. He therefore, exempted Eggheads International School, stressing that the School was built with the fear of God. He asserted, “Schools that engage in exam malpractices to pass their students, have lost the concept of education. Adding, “Egghead International School has zero tolerance for examination malpractice.” Professor Williams emphasized that Eggheads International School has been able to produce leaders of tomorrow, who are God fearing and who can be proud to say, “I wrote my exams without cheating”. “In Eggheads International School, we are able to produce people in all ramifications. Eggheads School has produced students who have been able to carve an inch in various areas of professions- finance, medicine, engineering etc, and we are proud to say, we are number one in the state and in the country”, management consultants guru opined.
Commenting on government intervention on education, he said government should provide enabling environment for education to strive. He therefore, urged government to provide electricity, good road network, security and other facilities that will make education qualitative.
Speaking on the achievement of the School, the administrator, Miss BeLoveth Edem said “the School has qualified teachers, some of them have masters and Ph.D, and we do not hire teachers outside.” “We have achieved a lot and have excellent performance in external exams.” She cited some students who had won medals in various competitions in 2022/2023: Eggheads International School received a silver medal in National English Olypaid, primary session* Received silver medal in African Olypaid mathematics competition, secondary session.* And 3rd runner up in Scholastic mathematics competition, secondary session.
In her contribution, the Deputy Director of the School, Mrs Grace Willams also urged parents to encourage their children to study hard while promising to establish enabling environment for their studies. She therefore, appealed to parents to embrace (NAPATAN) concept that will provide quality education for the students.
Some parents in their various contributions praised the School for excellent performance of their children both in academics and moral upbringing and therefore, charged parents to send their children to Eggheads International School for qualitative and quantitative education.
