The director-general/CEO of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA), Dr. Rufus Ebegba, has emphasized the need to create more consciousness for the Man O’ War in Nigeria in order to help enhance the country’s national security.
He made the emphasis at the Man O’ War first National Commanders Leadership Impact award ceremony and dinner night, organized to mark the 2021 United Nations International Volunteers Day Celebration in Abuja.
Speaking during the event, Dr. Ebegba harped on the need for volunteer activities, and urged every citizen to do his or her part in ensuring security in the country, noting that when people volunteer in the security of lives and property it will go a long way to curb insecurity and bring about a secured nation.
The 2023 Delta State governorship hopeful also stressed the need for more awareness and resources to be channeled to the Man O’ War so that security issues can be fought from all sides while charging the minister of Youth and Sports to empower the organisation to better discharge their duties for the good of the country.
The induction and dinner ceremony however ended with the NBMA DG/CEO being decorated and inducted into the organization, while also being presented with an award of recognition.
