The Founder and Lead Pastor of Sanctuary of Praise International Church, Pastor Success Ekperechi Uju, has called on President Bola Tinubu and other top leaders to govern Nigeria with the fear of God.
Pastor Uju who made the call on Sunday, during the church’s 10th anniversary celebration at Elioparanwa, in Obio/Akpor LGA, Rivers State warned that those who work against God’s will in the country will face divine judgment.
The event, themed “Prophecies Made, Prophecy Fulfilled,” drew an overflow crowd of members, associates, traditional rulers and dignitaries from across the country and beyond.
Speaking at the service, the cleric urged Nigerians to remain patient amid current economic hardship, expressing optimism that the country would rise to global prominence.
“Everybody should be patient, all these things we are seeing, it will come and it will go. Nigeria will be another China in the world when that time comes,” he said.
The Omuanwa-born Cleric however, charged leaders to align with divine principles. “I call on the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders to lead with the fear of God. As many that are walking against the will of God in Nigeria, they will be dying without anybody touching them.”
Reflecting on the decade-long journey of the ministry, Pastor Uju said the anniversary was a celebration of God’s faithfulness and the fulfillment of a divine mandate.
“I am overwhelmed with what God is doing here in Sanctuary of Praise International Church. I never believed when I heard about my calling as a Minister of the gospel that I will speak, heaven will answer. But He assured me and that is why the 10th anniversary is titled ‘Prophecy Made, Prophecy Fulfilled,’” he said.
According to him, the commission’s founding mandate remains “To Lose The Captive And Make Men Great” through the word.
He urged fellow ministers to remain faithful to their calling and avoid deviation. “If they are called by God, let them maintain the calling. But if they are not called, let them hands off. If God called them and they decided to deviate, they are doing themselves more harm than good,” he added.
In a brief on the church’s history, Deacon Raymond Uchendu and Miss Victory Uju said the ministry was founded in 2016 through a divine mandate to Pastor Uju and his wife, Pastor Mrs. Lucy Uju, anchored on Isaiah 61:1.
They noted that since inception, the church has been a vessel for deliverance, healing, salvation, restoration and supernatural breakthroughs.
Miss Victory Uju, in an address on behalf of the church’s address, announced the establishment of a ministerial institution by the church to train pastors, evangelists and workers for kingdom service.
“This institution stands as a testimony of God’s faithfulness and a platform for developing spiritual leaders who will carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to nations and generations yet unborn,” she said.
President of the Deacons Board, Deaconess Ruth Welenya, described the 10 years as years of uninterrupted service and miracles.
“I am a living testimony of what God is doing here. When I came here there was no way for me but God made ways health wise, financially, and others. The church started in one room with a 25-litre jerrican as pulpit and in 10 years time, this is where God has brought us to,” she said.
Other members including Deacon Kelechi Ihiemere, Nneji Wokemgbe and Augusta Uzondu shared testimonies of healing and deliverance. “We have seen people come in on wheelchairs but leaving the Church walking,” Mrs. Uzondu said.
In his goodwill message, President of the Intellectual Club Rivers State, Kingsley Nyemezu, congratulated Pastor Uju and the church and urged it to remain steadfast.
“The last time we came here was for the 5th anniversary, today is 10th and we have witnessed lots of transformations and achievements,” he said.
The anniversary featured testimonies, deliverance sessions, cultural displays by youths, teenagers and women, children dedication and cutting of the anniversary cake.
